Slick IceŽ Brewers, Ltd. is just two guys brewing beer in our own special kitchen.  We brew good beer (all-grain method) and produce great promotional items (T-shirts, hats, beer glassware, etc). We also work with the local restaurants to sponsor beer tastings/dinners.  We have made it our mission to see that everyone knows the pleasure of drinking good beer.

Isn't all ice "slick"?

In deciding on a name for our homebrewing venture, we wanted something that said "Highland"; something with a local flavor.  Well, it seems that the local residents live in mortal fear of "slick ice on the hard road" (Translation - slippery ice on a paved road). Apparently there are ices with varying degrees of the slip coefficient. Anyway, since we have never heard this term anywhere but in Highland, we found our name.  Slick Ice Brewers was born!

What's with all the penguins?

Everyone needs a mascot - A-B has the clydesdales (and the frogs, lizards, and yes penguin), Miller has the eagle, and Coca Cola has the polar bear.  We felt that the emperor penguin was ideal for our brew (for the record, we were using the penguin before A-B started using it).  Our original penguin can be seen on our logo on our home page.  It recently underwent a facelift by a local artist to make it look more friendly - she claims that our current penguin looks crabby.
